SUMMARY:1938 Mille Miglia Demo Day
DESCRIPTION:In 1938\, the world was holding its breath. War loomed on the horizon. Nations were rearming. Old alliances were crumbling and new ideologies were taking hold. Yet in Italy\, one of the most daring road races on earth pressed forward. The Mille Miglia\, a thousand mile sprint through towns\, valleys\, and mountain passes\, became more than a motorsport event. It was a display of strength\, of technological ambition\, of national pride cast in steel and speed. That year\, Alfa Romeo stood at the forefront with the revolutionary 8C 2900B\, a machine unlike anything else on the road. But the contest was fierce. The BMW 328 brought sharp engineering and modern efficiency. The Delahaye 135 S answered with grace\, grit\, and French resolve. Each car was a reflection of the country that built it. Each driver knew what was at stake. And through the dust of prewar Europe\, they raced. \nJoin us as we bring these machines back to life in motion\, with commentary that explores the stories behind the drivers\, the designs\, and the road to Brescia. \nFeatured Cars:\n* 1929 Alfa Romeo 6c 1750 SS\n• 1936 Delahaye 135 S\n• 1937 BMW 328\n• 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Mille Miglia\n* 1952 Frazer Nash Le Mans Replica\n* 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing Coupe \nPlus a special surprise guest car courtesy of David George! \nIf you have a passion for racing history\, world events that shaped the sport\, or machines born from national ambition and rivalry\, this Demo Day will bring it all to life.\nIncluded with museum admission.
